If you are concerned about your baby please call us on 01604 716500. The receptionist will take some details and either book you in to see one of our senior nurses or arrange for you to receive a call back from a member of the on the day duty team.
Your first check with the doctor is at 6 weeks. The doctor will need to see both Mum and baby for these initial checks. They take about 30 minutes.
The doctor will do a full physical examination of your baby and will give you a check over to ensure that there are no problem associated with the baby's birth.
Your Mental Welbeing
Some mums may become depressed after the birth and may be feeling that they cannot cope. This is a common problem and we can help. Please tell us if you are in anyway struggling.
